Election workers play an important role by ensuring residents have a positive voting experience during advanced voting days and on Election Day.
Eligibility
Election workers should be:
- At least 16 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Friendly, reliable and able to provide excellent customer service
- Comfortable learning new processes and technology
- Available to attend mandatory training before voting days
- Available to work during advanced voting days (Oct. 14, 17 and 20) and/or on Election Day (Oct. 26)
Previous election experience is considered an asset but is not required.
What to expect
Election workers can expect to:
- Attend a mandatory training session before voting days
- Work a full shift on assigned voting day(s)
- Assist voters and maintain a professional, welcoming environment
- Follow election procedures and uphold the integrity of the voting process
Election workers will receive compensation of $255 for each day that they work during the election. Shifts are typically long and may require standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.

Complete the online application form below by Sept. 4, 2026. Applications will be reviewed as staffing needs are identified, and selected applicants will be contacted for the next steps. Submitting an application does not guarantee employment.
