The list of certified candidates for the 2026 municipal election is now available following the close of nominations on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at 2 p.m. The complete list of candidates is available at quintewestvotes.ca/candidates. 

This October, residents will cast their votes for: 

• Mayor
• Their ward’s councillor(s)
• The school board trustee within their school support designation

How to vote

Voting for the Quinte West municipal election takes place from Oct. 14 to Oct. 26, 2026. Eligible voters can vote: 

• Online anytime from Oct. 14 to Oct. 26, 2026;
• In person at any advanced voting location on Oct. 14, Oct. 17 and Oct. 20, 2026; or
• In person at any Election Day voting location on Oct. 26, 2026
