The City Clerk is required to certify the candidates for the 2026 municipal election by Aug. 24, 2026.

Candidate campaigns and meetings
Please note that the City does not facilitate candidate campaigns, meetings or debates. It is our responsibility to ensure the integrity of the voting process, including remaining impartial towards all election candidates.
Business organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce or DBIA, and other community groups typically coordinate and facilitate candidate debates or town-hall style meetings for nominees to participate in. These events are usually advertised in local media, and residents are encouraged to visit their websites for further information.
